Utterly captivating from the first word to the last. The author tapped into my heart and had me yearning for a sense of justice!
Dan is the sheriff of a small, sleepy town in Missouri, where things run at a slow pace, until a young woman goes missing, and the skeletons that come rolling out of the closet turn this quiet town inside out. I love a good thriller, and this one had all of the right stuff - a wonderful hero, an intriguing cast of characters, an edge of your seat plot, and a really creepy bad guy. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
Started reading and had to keep at it till I was done! Riveting from the get-go! Great storyteller and loved the true-to-life Missouri dialect & vocabulary of the characters. While Pat 's story reveals the horrible sinfulness of people, it also shows us how God can use the worst of situations to turn hearts to Himself. Looking forward to the next book!

In a small town in Missouri, human-trafficking takes center stage. Dark scenes match up against quick wit in this story about starting over and the lengths good people will go. Loved it.
This action thriller book grabs you from the very first page. It yanks you into the dark world of human trafficking and doesn't let you up for air until the last page. The realism, the small town, rural folks, are all true to life and so vivid you feel as though you could interact with them. This book is the first in a series of this new author, definitely someone to watch! She is on my list and I've hit my follow button. FYI the people in this book speak very similar to the older folks where I grew up, so if the accent gets ya, welcome to small town Missouri. It is just that real.
